RD TUNA and the MADANG PNG Community

RD Tuna Canners is based in Madang, Papua New Guinea. The cannery is situated within 6.5 hectares of land where the cannery complex and other support facilities are also located. The tuna cannery complex serves as a nucleus of a self-contained community of households, small industries and businesses that look to the RD TUNA CANNERS company as an opportunity for growth and development of the local economy.

Another tuna facility located about 20 km away from the tuna cannery in has been added to the growing reach of RD Tuna Canners within the Madang, PNG community. RD Tuna is currently developing 860 hectares of land where the 104m private wharf, 7000  metric tons capacity cold storage with 36 metric tons/day blast freezing capability, a fish processing facility and 90 metric tons (daily capacity) ice-making plants are also located. This new fishing and cannery facility serves as a docking and trans shipment area for the 45 fishing ships/vessels (out of more than 100 vessels that the RD Group operates in the Philippines, Indonesia and PNG) that RD operates within Papua New Guinea.
